toes

Remember the sling I made awhile ago? Phillip likes being toted around in it, which is especially handy when I'm here by myself and would like to have my hands free while hanging out with him. I had him in it for a bit yesterday, and he just had to have his toes out.

I was wondering how your sling was working out! I've been using one this time around too (my second daughter was born two weeks ago), and so far so good.

How are the cloth diapers going?

What kind of sling are you using? I find that the pocket sling I made is a little small, and isn't terribly comfortable after a little while - my back starts to hurt a bit. But my mother in law found an 'Over the Shoulder Baby Holder' sling at Value Village, which Phillip and I tried out today, and it's much better. (Although the pattern is ugly!) As for the cloth diapers, we haven't used them yet - Phillip is way too small for the ones we have! The doctors kept saying that he was measuring large and would probably be a big baby. So we bought larger sizes instead of investing a lot in ones he might not even wear. So we've been using newborn disposables (:() for the past couple weeks. But he's starting to fatten up a bit, so hopefully he'll be big enough for the cloth ones very soon! Are you using cloth? :) Thanks for commenting!

I'm using a Hotsling, and I find it quite easy to use. I had gotten a Maya Wrap with my older daughter, but not until she was about 3 months old, and I found the learning curve a little steep with that sling, plus she wasn't used to a sling and hated it.

That's too bad about the cloth diapers, but babies grow so fast at this age, you'll be into them in no time. I'm using Mother-Ease adjustables, which you can use from birth up until potty-training pretty much (depending on baby size).
