great potato harvest of 2008

Like the tomatoes we had last year, these potatoes weren't purposely planted in our little vegetable patch. They sprouted from the compost we added earlier in the Spring, and I just let them grow. This one was picked by accident as I was staking some of our tomatoes, which are almost as tall as me!

Hehe....how cute! I need to stake one of my tomatoes too....the poor thing keeps falling over with the one it has now!

I'm envious. Last summer my tomatoes were very tall and full! This year they're pathetic. I'll be lucky to get a handful from each plant. Sigh.

I don't know what we did this year, but our tomatoes are looking great. Actually, I didn't really do anything after I planted them - maybe that's the key for these ones! Hopefully you'll get more tomatoes than you think, Andrea! :)

We actually grow potatoes, and the little Peruvian Purples we grew last year are almost as cute as yours. ;)
